Wild Animal Park

So, we went to the SD Wild Animal Park - it was really cool but a bit old for Abbie.

Even James needed a nap!

San Diego Beach

BRRRRR....ok so it wasn't beach weather but who can go to San Diego and not go to the beach. We were the only ones camped out on the beach. Abbie enjoyed looking for shells and rocks with Daddy.

Look mom - a big rock!

Abbie's bucket is filled with more rocks than shells but she is having fun!

The Playground in Del Mar

How bad is life when you are on a swing with ocean right behind you?

Baby James (oh and Abbie's love affair with him is over - he now moves and tries to touch her stuff.) Oh well.

Sunset in San Diego

Can you guess who is Abbie and who is Caroline? It's amazing how many times we are asked if they are twins.

San Diego Part 1

With winter showing no sign of leaving we decided to get away for a few days and visit old friends in San Diego. Caroline and Abbie were the best of friends in San Francisco so it would be interesting to see how they would do when they saw each other after 4 months apart. Well, it was like we never left...

An hour after arriving at Caroline's house and after travelling all day with no nap

Abbie's favorite animal of the day was the Polar Bear (and that's because she was given a book about them from Caroline that we read very often.)

Checking out the View

Abbie's favorite spot is at this window in the dining room. She loves to pull up a chair to climb up and check out the neighborhood.

Megan's Visit

Anne and Megan came to visit us for a few days. They are friends from San Francisco who moved to Syracuse. It was so nice to see old friends and we had lots of fun together. We went to the Boston Children's Museum. That was lots of fun!

Great Grandpa's Birthday Weekend

Great Grandpa turned 91 and everyone came to Massachusetts to celebrate. Daddy was out of town on business in Omaha, as Abbie loves to say. Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Uncle Matt, Aunt Virigina, Veronica, Diego, Aunt Johanna and Cammie all came to visit us. It was fun but a bit hectic - all in one house.

New Swing Set

Abbie got a new swing set today. It was very exciting watching the man assemble it while I watched. It took a while but finally, after my nap I was able to go play on it. What fun. Too bad it isn't warm enough yet to play on it all day. I can't wait until the warm weather comes.

Playing in the Snow

Surprise, Surprise...it snowed again on March 1st. Last year at this time there had only been 6" on snow, this year its over 60". In addition, we had the wettest February on record. We warned our East Coast friends that because we were coming back it was going to be a bad winter. On the plus side, Abbie finally enjoyed playing in the snow. Check out the video at the bottom.

Abbie enjoyed patting the snow down on her snowman

Daddy shoveling again.

The finished snowman - what a masterpiece. Abbie looks out the window to make sure its still there. There will be problems soon since the weather is supposed to get into the upper 40's - mid 50's this week. OOPS!
